just watched "Match Point"

Now I am a big fan of Scarlet, I think John Rhyse Myers is pretty good, and the term "hitchcockian flair" is always a good one in my ear.

But i'm much confused by this flick. The cinematography was very strange. Shots moving around a room while you only hear one couple talking, and then the camera settles on the couple just as they finish their conversation, for one. But by the end of the film, the filming becomes very normal.

The acting was also hit and miss throughout the film. I'm thinking this has to be a direction problem. It seemed to be stylized at the beginning, but then it fell apart.

Scarlet is sexy, the story is very "strangers on a train"ish, and England looks beautiful.

other than that, i'm not sure how I feel about this flick.

I remember being mildly interested in this movie when I first heard about it, and then it completely slipped my mind. Would you recommend it, or should I just pass?
