Transformers 2
summer popcorn fucking awesome fun flick
I had a huge grin on my face the whole time, the muscle on my face are sore from geeking out the entire movie.
yeah, some little plot holes, but that has a tendency to happen in big summer blockbusters, not a huge deal in the end.
So many robots! so many robot fights! and a really cool idea for how ancient the autobot race is.
Optimus Prime got to be a real badass in this one, Decepticons going down like little bitches.
Bumblebee got some action as well, so that was sweet!
Very fun! Everything I expected. |

I drove through the HKY yesterday! Good times.
I like Michael Bay and I think the morphing is awesome, but the action sequences are TERRIBLE! The camera is too herky-jerky frenetic, doesn't focus well on the fights or frame them well, and it's hard to tell what's going on. In Bay's other films (The Rock, Armageddon, even damn Pearl Harbor), the action is easy to follow and sucks you in. For Transformers, his camerawork is a repellant!
I've only seen the first Transformers and the cinematography/editing was a big turn off. I don't plan to see the 2nd one. | |
